Police said the vehicle was found late Tuesday afternoon in Forsyth County. No further information was released.

Law enforcement officials are looking for whoever stole an unmarked Kernersville police car Tuesday morning.

The 2012 Dodge Charger was stolen while it was parked at an officer's home near Glenn High School, Kernersville police said.

The car has an orange permanent North Carolina license plate with registration number 96407T. The car also has clear emergency lights and a black spotlight.

Drivers pulled over by such a vehicle should call 911 if the person can't produce a badge or other law enforcement identification, police said.
